The first thing you have to do is install and activate the Download Media Library plugin . To do this, go to the Plugins section of your WordPress backoffice and select the Add New option. On the Add New Plugin page, look for the plugin that we want to install using the search field that is located in the upper right part of the page.

Once activated, go to Multimedia> Download Media Library to configure the plugin.
As you will see, the plugin gives you the option to download the multimedia library based on the type of post . That is, you can download those images or files that are added to posts, pages, multimedia (which encompasses everything), or any other type of post that you use in your CMS.
You can select a single type, or as many as you need, depending on your needs .
The plugin also allows you to select the type of file to download. For example, we can exclusively download PDFs, GIF images, JPG images or PNG images. As in the previous section, we can choose more than one option.

In addition, the two sections can be combined, thus being able to choose the option to download all PDFs associated with pages, for example. Or without going any further, we can also download through this plugin, all GIFs, PNGs and JPGs associated with both posts and pages. Do you understand me?
Once we have selected the options that we want to download, we will have to click on the Download .zip button . You will see how a compressed file is downloaded to you with all the images based on the premises selected previously.
